KNO Tablet Textbook

KNO는 Silicon Valley에서 Academic Market을 대상으로 Digital Textbook/Student Platform기반의 Tablet Computer Startup기업(벤처기업과는 다른..)이다.

Jumbo Dual Screen과 높은 사양을 가진 이 타블렛은 리눅스를 기반으로 디지털 텍스트북에 최적화된 UI를 가지고 있다고 한다. 교육전용 단말이 과연 아이패드나 내년(’11년)에 범람하게될 범용 타블렛을 이기게 될까?

주요 출판사인 맥그로우힐과 카플란, 랜덤하우스등이 참여한다고 하니 고등교육영역에서 KNO가 어떤 Market Share를 차지할 수 있을지 두고볼일이다.

개인적으로 범용 타블렛에비해 H/W사양을 제외하고 어떠한 장점이 있는지 공개된 글들을 통해 찾아보려 했으나, 특별한 차이를 찾지 못한것이 가장 아쉽다.

범용단말에 Native Apps형태의 서비스일까? HTML5기반의 Mobile Web기반이 맞을까? 아니면 Android OS기반에 UI Layer를 Customizing한 HTC Desire같은 형태일까?

간단한 답임에도 불구하고, 확인하고 싶어지네^^

KNO는 올해 크리스마스 시즌을 타겟으로 시장에 출시한다고 하니, 시장은 어떠한 반응을 보일지 두고볼 일이다.

KNO와 유사한 서비스이지만 Pad에 Native App형태로 들어앉은 inkling도 주목!!!
